About me

Welcome! I am an independent academic researcher based in Edinburgh, Scotland. My current research explores the relationship between care and control in literature from the early nineteenth century during the rise of hospital medicine.

I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2025, supervised by Dr Katherine Inglis and Professor Tim Milnes. My research explored representations of patienthood in the early nineteenth century using the life and works of the English poet John Keats.

I also have research interests in disability studies, and am a mentor for the Neurodivergent Humanities Network based at Durham University.
